  My Fiance and I were just denied the use of a gift certificate we won at a bridal show at Carmichael's in Monroe because apparently the certificate is for a wedding package only. It was presented at the show as a certificate and is clearly printed with "$50 vaIue". I know it was at a bridal show that you did not host but next time please advertise at the show and also note on the certificate that it is only for wedding packages. We had no idea and neither did the cashier until we got a manager/owner on the phone when it would not ring up. We just spent $44 on cupcakes for Mother's Day without expecting to because of this. We will not be purchasing our wedding cake from Bruce's Sweet Sensations. Anyone can put on a pretty face at a scheduled tasting so I like to see how they treat everyday customers. I know it was free from an event raffle but be more clear next time. The cost we had to pay is not my main issue for writing this review. I come from almost 10 years experience working at some of the best retail establishments in the country and this is not how it's done and would never have been tolerated! The owners response from our complaints on social media did not attempt to rectify the situation, only addressed the owners intention for the certificate. Apparently the customer in not right at Bruce's Sweet Sensations.

  Only had cupcakes and cookies ready. No cakes. If you need a cake go to Hoosier Girl. What is a bakery without a single cake available? Soups are just fair. Bought soup for lunch and could not eat it. Much better food available in the area.
